Acronym: SENIOR FOOD-QOL |
 |

The social life of many older people is focused around food. The procurement
of food is an activity of social significance in all societies and an analysis
will be made of these social networks and their effect on access. The wider
influences on dietary choices in advancing age across the participating
European countries will be investigated. The research will inform both large
and small food companies regarding future product development and innovation.
The Food, older people and quality of life UK National Dissemination Workshop
was held on
Wednesday 26 October 2005,
at the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College, London SW3 6LY.
Please click on Media Centre on the main menu of this website for the media release, videos and transcripts of the speakers from the day and further outcomes of this very successful and well attended meeting.
