A “Guideline for the maintenance of a self-dependent food-procurement in old age: Strategies/policies of and from seniors - recommendations for seniors, industry and retail” was distributed, presented and discussed with all attendees. The second workshop “Nutrition and quality of life in old age: From independence to provision through others in the own household” was held on 20 October 2005 and attended by stakeholders from welfare organisations, seniors organisations, the frozen food industry, a large scale kitchen, German Society for Nutrition, and the professional organisation for home economists. A guideline: “Meal services for older people: impulses for the practical work” was distributed, presented and discussed.
