INRAN (Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca per gli Alimenti e la Nutrizione) is a single government-funded research organization, which carries out basic and applied research in the various areas of study in food science and human nutrition. INRAN has a scientific and technical research staff of 100 employees with competence in food chemistry, food technology, human nutrition, nation-wide dietary surveys, nutritional database design, sensory analysis and consumer food choice. One of the important tasks of INRAN is to advise the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on matters of human nutrition and consumer policy. The group has a wide experience in carrying out consumer studies aimed at assessing factors influencing food choice and dietary surveys. Role in Project:
Team Profile:
Aida Turrini (INRAN permanent staff) has been working in the area of food consumption surveys and nutritional data management at INRAN. She is closely involved in WP5 and will be involved in all workpackages. Federico Messina is responsible for the statistical analysis in WP2 and he will analyse the WP2's data for all partners. He will also be involved in WP3,4,5,6, and 7. Simona Martines is responsible for the software development for the data entry. She will carry out the data analysis of WP5 in Italy. She will also be involved in WP 2,3,4,6 and 7. |
